A traditional Barolo: broad, warm, velvety, caressing, balsamic and lingering, the result of grapes from two decidedly interesting vineyards like Terlo and Ravera.
Wine Advocate 87 points - Ferruccio Grimaldi’s 2010 Barolo opens to a dark, slightly veiled appearance with thick streak of garnet and dark ruby in its muted color. The wine shows simple lines and slightly muddled aromas of dark cherry, tobacco and cola. What the wine lacks in definition, it makes up for in intensity and power. A note of sour cherry appears on the close. Drink: 2015-2022. (Jul 2014)
